What this site is

Next Eclipse is a free, independent reference for upcoming solar and lunar eclipses, published by Furiosa Studio. There is no account to create, nothing to buy and no feature behind a paywall. By using the site you accept the terms below.

Accuracy of eclipse data

Eclipse dates, durations and paths are derived from NASA Goddard Space Flight Center published data. We take care to reproduce them faithfully, but the figures shown here are indicative: local circumstances depend on your exact coordinates, altitude, horizon and atmospheric conditions, and timings can be rounded or converted between time zones.

For travel, photography or any plan where minutes matter, confirm against an authoritative source for your precise location before committing. We provide no warranty that the information is complete, current or fit for a particular purpose.

Eye safety

Looking at the Sun can cause permanent eye damage, including blindness. Our viewing guide explains the accepted precautions, but it is general information, not a substitute for guidance from the manufacturer of your equipment or from an eye-care professional.

Only use filters that meet the ISO 12312-2 standard, inspect them for damage before every use, and never look at the Sun through a camera, telescope or binoculars without a filter designed and fitted for that instrument. You remain responsible for your own safety and that of anyone in your care. Furiosa Studio accepts no liability for injury arising from eclipse observation.

Advertising

The site is funded by contextual advertising served through Google AdSense. We do not choose, endorse or vet the individual adverts shown, and the presence of an advert is not a recommendation. How ad personalisation works and how to control it is explained in our privacy policy.

Voluntary support

You may send a one-off voluntary contribution through the support page, processed by Stripe. It is a gift, not a purchase: it unlocks nothing, carries no entitlement and creates no ongoing obligation on either side. The entire site is free with or without it.

Because no goods or services are supplied in return, contributions are not refundable as a matter of course. If you contributed by mistake, write to us and we will do our best to sort it out.

Content and attribution

Astronomical data originates with NASA and is in the public domain. The explanatory text, page structure, design and illustrations on this site are the work of Furiosa Studio and are protected by copyright.

You are welcome to quote a passage with a visible link back. Wholesale copying, automated scraping or republishing our pages as your own is not permitted. If you want to reuse something substantial, just ask.

We link to other sites — NASA, weather services and our own projects — when they are useful. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, their accuracy or their privacy practices.

Availability

The site is offered as it is, with no guarantee of uninterrupted availability. We may change, move or retire any page, and we are not liable for loss arising from the site being unavailable or from a page having changed.

Changes and contact

These terms may be updated; the date above always reflects the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

Questions, corrections and reuse requests: [email protected]. Next Eclipse is operated by Furiosa Studio from Spain, and Spanish law applies.
